Environmental Conservation Initiatives
Showa Marutsutsu Group is committed to protecting the environment by implementing various initiatives, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, in order to reduce the burden on the global environment.
In 1999, the Showa Marutsutsu Group established an "Environmental Committee" and has since actively addressed emerging environmental issues. Starting with the reduction of industrial waste, we have adopted the Eco Mark, implemented dioxin countermeasures, eliminated incinerators from all business sites, and introduced wastewater treatment facilities. Since 2002, we have pursued certification under the environmental management system ISO 14001, achieving certification across the entire group. Currently, we are focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting material recycling.
